Before describing the artist, a brief note on the 2024 Grammy Awards, I am not discussing the competition but some choices certainly are, Victoria Monet is an artist who has been present in the musical panorama for years and therefore defining her as an emerging artist is certainly an understatement. Having said that, let's talk about the song, truly full of ideas like others composed by the artist, the song is taken from his debut album Jaguar II. The track was released on June 16, 2023, as the third single from the album via Lovett Music and RCA Records. The song samples the 2009 track "I Look Good" by American rapper Chalie Boy. The song was produced by D'Mile, Jeff Gitelman and Deputy and co-written by them along with Monét and Kyla with additional credits to Chalie Boy. The soul rn'b influences contained in the song are notable, in fact all this flows into a pleasant sound that produces a winning and truly catchy mix, what can I say, enjoy listening and see you next time.

Prima di descrivere l'artista un breve appunto sui grammy awards 2024, non discuto la competizione ma alcune scelte sicuramente si, Victoria Monet è un artista presenteda anni nel panorama musicale e, quindi definirla artista emergente è certamente riduttivo. Detto ciò parliamo del brano, veramente ricco di spunti come altri composti dall'artista, la canzone è tratta dal suo album di debutto Jaguar II . Il brano è stato pubblicato il 16 giugno 2023, come terzo singolo dall'album tramite Lovett Music e RCA Records . La canzone campiona il brano del 2009 "I Look Good" del rapper americano Chalie Boy . Il brano è stata prodotto da D'Mile , Jeff Gitelman e Deputy e co-scritta da loro insieme a Monét e Kyla con crediti aggiuntivi a Chalie Boy. Notevoli gli influssi soul rn'b contenuti nella canzone, infatti tutto ciò sfocia in una piacevole sonorità che produce un mix vincente e davvero orecchiabile, che dire buon ascolto e alla prossima.

Ray BLK, pseudonym of Rita Ekwere is a British singer-songwriter. After releasing music independently and becoming the first unsigned artist to win BBC Sound of The Year in 2017, Ekwere landed a record deal with Island Records in 2018, then released the Empress EP the same year . In 2021 he released the album Access Denied. I wrote this short summary to highlight this artist who caught my interest with her sound rich in hip hop nuances, steeped in rn'b music. The sound is pleasant, full of interesting rn'b, neo soul and soul derivations, all blended by the expert hand of the artist. Ray BLK, pseudonimo di Rita Ekwere è una cantautrice britannica. Dopo aver pubblicato musica da indipendente ed essere diventata la prima artista priva di contratti discografici a vincere il BBC Sound of The Year nel 2017, Ekwere ha ottenuto un contratto discografico con la Island Records nel 2018, per poi pubblicare l'EP Empress nello stesso anno. Nel 2021 ha pubblicato l'album Access Denied. Ho scritto questa breve sintesi per evidenziare questa artista che ha posto il mio interesse con il suo sound ricco di sfumature hip hop,intrise di rn'b music. Gradevole la sonorità ricca di interessanti derivazioni rn'b, neo soul e soul tutto amalgamato dalla sapiente mano dell'artista. Dua Lipa - Houdini (Review)

Houdini is a single by British singer Dua Lipa, released on 10 November 2023 as the first extract from her third studio album. The music video, directed by Emmanuel Cossu, was made available simultaneously with the release of the single. The song highlights how the artist's precedents, not only dance/pop nuances but, specifically 80s dance, which distinguished Dua Lipa from her other colleagues in the musical panorama. The choreography itself is very simple but, at the same time, quite intense which follows the rhythms of the song with truly impeccable synchrony. The artist also "wonders if someone is really worth considering or if, in the end, you will regret it. You never know where something will take you, that's the beauty of being open to anything in life propose to you." In fact, life is also this, what can I say?
