Neanche mi sembra vero che uno degli eventi cinematografici degli ultimi anni, sia stato presentato in anteprima all'ottava edizione del Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma, parlo di Hunger Games - Catching Fire, ogni tanto l'Italia ricorda le sue storiche tradizioni cinematografiche. Hunger Games: La ragazza di fuoco (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) è un film del 2013 diretto da Francis Lawrence. La pellicola è il sequel del film del 2012 Hunger Games, ed è la trasposizione cinematografica del romanzo di fantascienza la ragazza di fuoco,scritto da Suzanne Collins, ambientato in un futuro distorto post apocalittico. Non mi sembra corretto narrare la trama del film ma, è certamente, uno di quei move da vedere immediatamente al cinema. Dietro la Universal Pictures e la Lionsgate si nasconde il mirabile lavoro della Capcom nota casa di videogiochi, secondo me una delle migliori, che ha prestato la sua rinomata esperienza, celebre con Resident Evil e Devil May Cry, nel realizzare Hunger Games e Hunger Games - Catching Fire, con un cast davvero stellare tra cui la splendida Jennifer Lawrence, probabile altra candidatura all'Oscar e, il grande Donald Sutherland. Certamente altro capolavoro è la colonna sonora che si avvale della collaborazione di vari artisti, tra cui come avete notato, Ellie Goulding con "Mirror" e The Weekend con "Devil May Cry". La prima canzone è un sound veramente particolare: un effusione ritmata di acuti in stile soul veramente gradevole e piacevole. La seconda ricade pure nel nostro stile Hip Hop Rn'B con quei tocchi strumentali che solo The Weekend, riescono a dare in un pregevole compromesso musicale. Mi piace sottolineare che la Capcom non ha fatto molta pubblicità della sua collaborazione a questo progetto ma, per chi come me la conosce, in quanto appassionato di videogames, è stato un piacere trovare tra i brani uno intitolato Devil May Cry, come il celebre

Nei vari anni non ho mai discusso la professionalità nei giudizi dell'abc colosso televisivo, detenuto dalla Walt Disney e, come si rispetta il prodotto offerto è stato certamente eccellente.Taylor Swift e Justin Timberlake, infatti hanno fatto incetta di premi alla quarantunesima edizione degli American Music Awards, i premi della musica decisi dal pubblico (le nomination si basano su vendite, passaggi in radio, attività sui social). La cantante country è stata premiata come Artista dell'anno, Artista Country e artista Pop/Rock preferita. In più, il suo Red ha vinto come Album Country preferito. Timberlake, invece, si è aggiudicato tre premi: Artista Pop/Rock e Soul/R&B preferito e Album Soul/R&B preferito. Anche quest'anno si è svolta MTV EMA tenutasi il 10 novembre ad Amsterdam. In particolare si è conclusa la ventesima edizione degli MTV European Music Awards 2013: a parte il mitico mattatore Redfoo, viene consacrato Eminem, che dopo il premio Global Icon porta a casa anche il Best Hip Hop Awards - altro che «il rap non è cosa da bianchi». E' indispensabile giunti a questo livello della settimana, esprimere molta più energia e, Naughty Boy ci ha dato davvero una mano! Parliamo del quarto singolo di Naughty Boy. Il rapper e produttore inglese ha piazzato due successi con “Wonder” e “La La La”, mentre “Lifted” ha faticato un pochino al di fuori del Regno Unito. Naughty Boy ora cerca di coinvolgere il mercato Hip-Hop americano, rilasciando il singolo “Think about it”, che vede la collaborazione di Wiz Khalifa e Ella Eyre. Quest’ultima nel ritornello lamenta una relazione in cui il suo uomo non presta attenzione ai problemi della coppia mentre Wiz Khalifa si vanta della sua carriera in ascesa e del successo che ha. Ad essere sincero il video non mi ha particolarmente entusiasmato è abbastanza statico, mostrando i due artisti cantare ciascuno la propria parte e, solo ogni tanto, si vedono scene di una ballerina danzare e, sul finale, scene di un gruppo attorno a un fuoco, direi un po pochino visto la qualità dell'artista. Molto gradevole invece il sound del brano, un giusto mix tra Hip Hop e Rn'B, come da sempre apprezziamo e proponiamo nel nostro magazine...

Il brano è stata prodotto dal caro amico Timbaland, ed è una delle perle della seconda parte del 20/20 Experience. Dopo la release di “Take Back The Night”, brano funky con un ottimo sound, Justin Timberlake sceglie un brano davvero particolare, ma piacevolissimo per una produzione veramente raffinata e ricca di spunti musicali veramente notevoli. Il video è certamente cinematografico, girata da Ryan Richenfeld, ed ha come protagonista femminile Riley Keough, una modella ed attrice nipote di Elvis e Priscilla Presley. L’ambientazione è davvero dark, completamente diversa rispetto a quello che ci si poteva aspettare da una uptempo R&B.
Abbiamo un Justin Timberlake che subisce violenza e viene portato a morire nel deserto…uno scenario davvero particolare, curato in ogni dettaglio, arricchito da un sound di primissimo valore, per un altro successo del formidabile ragazzo di Memphis..
