From a musical standpoint, Shake It Off is a pop song by the uptempo pace that differs from traditional pop country songs contained in previous albums of Swift. There is the sound of the saxophone, inspired by the 80s pop, with obvious nuances soul, that makes the song catchy and able to gather support to 360 degrees.
