Nina Nesbitt - Statues (News)

Nina Nesbitt was born on 11 July 1994 in Balerno, Edinburgh, she attended the small village school in Bellsquarry and attended Balerno Community High School. She is of mixed descent with a Swedish mother and Scottish father. She started her music career by writing and recording songs in her bedroom and uploading the videos to her YouTube channel. She plays the guitar, piano and flute. As a child, she competed in local and regional gymnastic competitions with her primary school. After meeting Ed Sheeran, she was invited to support him on his European tour, and was also invited to support Example after he heard her cover of "Stay Awake".She also appeared in the video for Ed Sheeran's song "Drunk". Her second EP, titled The Apple Tree was released in April 2012 and reached #6 on the iTunes download charts after receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1,and also reached #1 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart. In October 2012, Nina embarked on a second UK headline tour, "BOY UK TOUR", in support of her debut single "Boy" and the EP of the same name. She subsequently announced the title of her next EP, Stay Out, to be released on 8 April 2013. On 9th October 2012, Nina Nesbitt embarked on her 2nd UK Headline Tour, this time to support the release of her debut single "BOY" under new label Island Records. This tour included Supports from Singer-Songwriter Josh Kumra and up and coming Singer-Songwriter Billy Lockett. This tour commenced 9th October 2012 at Oran Mor, Glasgow, Scotland and finished 18th October 2012 at Dingwalls, London, England...
